A Day With Old Best Friends

Hi everyone!

Sorry for long time no post.

Two months ago I was busy with final thesis and on September 22nd 2015 I passed the bachelor of science communication. Exactly one month ago, on October 1st 2015, I started working in a consumer goods company in Jakarta. My friends already had a job too.

When everyone was busy with their job, it was quite difficult for us to arrange time to meet. Weekend is one of the options that we could use as well as possible.

Finally, my two best girls since junior high school and me got a chance to hangout together.

We went to Pantai Indah Kapuk. Grabbed our brunch at The Twig Cafe then continues to Cake A Boo * bcoz we can't resist their cute decoration! Their cakes and beverages are also unresistable ♡

Who is The Real Monster?

Yes, I am a dog lover, so I wrote this post.

Some time ago in Yulin, China held the festival eating dog meat. It's called Yulin Dog Meat Festival, is an annual celebration held in Yulin, Guangxi, China, during the summer solstice in the which festival goers eat dog meat and Lychees. The festival spans about ten days during the which it is estimated that 10.000 to 15.000 dogs are consumed.

I will not put up pictures of pathetic and disgusting about what they did on the dogs at the festival.

In my mind, I wondered who actually plays into monsters in this world. The phrase "A dog is human's best friend." already known and written everywhere. Why we have to eat our own best friend? I have a few dogs in my house as pets, I considered them all as my own kids.

I can not bear to think if they should feel the pain into food for humans. I heard, that they (Yulin citizens) intentionally tortured alive the dogs they will eat because they thought with pain and torment, the dogs will produces some kind of a hormone that makes the dogs meat taste better to eat and they also will deliberately torturing the dog which is to be redeemed for rescued by the volunteers, so these "criminals" can set a higher price for a dog that will be redeemed (please correct me if I'm wrong).

It was very cruel and I think the man who did it is completely lost conscience. Dogs that become traded on the Yulin market obtained by kidnapping lapdog other citizens, in other words they were taken forcibly. There was also obtained from stray dogs that are wandering around.

I know humans are creatures that eat just about anything. But should we take down our own best friend? Should we torture a friend who would give such extraordinary loyalty to us? All kinds of animals would not bother us if we do not hurt and disturbing nature of their lives.
Dogs and cats are also living beings who have feelings of sadness and pain. Why did the slaughtering should torment them? The butcher said that the dogs are equals with other common farm mammals we consume, such as cows and goats, why we should not eat the dog?

I don't know how the best way  to explain this, but I am confident that the dog is not the same as a cow or a goat. They (the dogs) were born not to be a meal in our dinner plates. They exist in the world to teach us about loyalty, accompany our life, to feel the pleasure of playing and coexist with us. Even many in this world who train dogs to assist people with disabilities, as a guide the blind, police dogs and dogs for rehabilitation.

I'm sad because I can not do much to help directly to the dogs in China. I had already signed several international petition demanding to stop this cruel festival. I really hope the festival makes humans wasting sincerity and loyalty of a dog can be stopped forever.

In fact, I'm sure if in this world there really is a monster, monster will not eat their own best friends. So, who exactly is the monster?

You Know What WEBTOON Is?

Hi everyone!

This post I want to talk about comic website that already about 3 months I always read every day ^^

Since childhood I really like to read comics, Doraemon was my first comic and happened to my big brother also loves to read comics, so we were comics hoarder. Start of Detective Conan, Doraemon, Mars, Rave, Sylphid, Grooming Ups, Crayon Shinchan, and other comics that are not so famous.

But the more time passes, the higher the price of comics. And it made me and my brother started to not buy comics in bookstores. Since the technology has also been increasingly sophisticated, we began to read comics online from websites on the internet :) For example, Detective Conan comics, we've never buy the comic anymore, but we read the episodes on the internet for free ^^

I knew about Webtoon from Line Messenger :) Because I like things that got horror in it, I started reading one horror (thriller) comic from Webtoon titled Tales Of The Unusual.

This comic instantly become my favorite now! Somehow its storyline and horror topics match with my taste of horror and also makes me so tense and curious.

Comics in this webtoon got mostly Koreans author, unlike comics in bookstores which usually written by the Japanese authors . I think Korean comic is not less interesting and creative than Japanese comics. Pictures quality of them are very good and in line with the type of story.

 For your information, webtoon is available for iOS and Android app to make it more fun and easier to read. You can also open from the PC browser :) And you can change the content language you would like to read, by changing the language, comics option available are also different ^^

25 is My Favorite Number

75th Months Anniversary

My boyfriend and I started dating since April 25th 2009. So on the 25th of each month we celebrate our anniversary. I know that many people who says that the anniversary should be celebrated every 1 year, instead of every 1 month. Although there are some couples that I know, which are celebrated every 1 month, is not that much.

Indeed, depending on how the thought of each couple to celebrate their anniversary. For me, no problem at all to celebrate every 1 month, it was nice to still be able to maintain a sense of novelty in our respective boy/girl-friends. We both always congratulate the anniversary of each month and it was very pleasant.

Since the beginning of courtship, we both did a lot of things together in every 25th. We had several times to cook together, go to dinner at an "all you can eat" or fancy restaurant, go to a new place, make papercrafts together, even we had tried to make dolls together in the day we were. Or just an usual date to celebrate our anniversary *go to mall, watch movie, etc.*

On July 25, 2015 we celebrated the 75th months. We went to Kota Kasablanka Mall and watched Ant-Man. We had dinner at MUNCHIES Restaurant.

MUNCHIES is a restaurant with a room design and quality of service are pretty good, but I am personally not satisfied with the food they serve. Too ordinary and taste of the foods are also less worth it. Take a peek of their Instagram @munchiesbistro

I hope in the next months we can continue to celebrate our anniversary together. I personally always look forward to the 25th of every month, because on that one day I could really have the right to be with man I love the most and spend the day with him :)
To me, with celebrating our day for each months at the same date (25th), I feels like we could 're-new' our feelings to each other. And we had the one day of each months that we can look foward for each other. I honestly don't know how my boyfriend feels about this but, for me, I always get excited every months.
